Momentum Pictures announced today that it has acquired North American rights to horror specialist Blumhouse’s latest horror thriller Bloodline, from director Henry Jacobson (“Election Day: Lens Across America”). Jacobson co-wrote the screenplay with Avra Fox-Lerner (Nora) and Will Honley (The Hive). The film stars Seann William Scott (American Pie), Mariela Garriga (“NCIS: Los Angeles”), Dale Dickey (Iron Man 3) and Kevin Carroll (“The Leftovers”).
According to a media advisory distributed by Momentum: “In Bloodline, Evan (Seann William Scott) values family above all else, and anyone who gets between him, his wife, and newborn son learns that the hard way. But when it comes to violent tendencies, it seems the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
“Bloodline is the kind of provocative, twisty, domestic thriller that we at Blumhouse grew up loving. We are thrilled to introduce audiences not just to an emerging filmmaker like Henry, but also to a new side of Seann William Scott,” said Couper Samuelson, President, Blumhouse Productions.
Bloodline will be released in theaters and On Digital and On Demand on September 20, 2019.
